PINEWOOD DERBY PUSHES NEW SPEEDS! - MAY 6

The annual event brought new cars and excited crowds. Heat speeds were higher this year in all divisions, including the adult group. Most of the cars were done by the kids, though. And, everyone showed great sportsmanship thoughout the event.

PIONEER CLUB CONCLUDES SEASON - APR 29

The big FINALE was Sunday evening (Apr. 29). There were many activities including a hot dog cookout, and plenty of ice cream along with games and crafts. Everyone had a great time.

EASTER EGG HUNT BRINGS THE KIDS - Apr. 7

The annual egg hunt brought in many visitors from the community. There were plenty of eggs and goodies! But, there were also plenty of creative and fun activities inside.

CHURCH PACKS 21,000+ MEALS IN FIGHT HUNGER PROJECT!!! - Feb. 2012

A rather large crowd helped pack thousands of meals to be sent to the SUDAN. Everyone enjoyed working together for such a worthy cause.

YOUTH LOCK-IN INCLUDES "POVERTYTOWN SIMULATION"

There were plenty of fun activities, but the night included a "Povertytown Simulation" whereby youth learn about the challenges of poverty and homelessness. It went incredibly well.

CHURCH ORDAINS 5 WOMEN AND 1 GENTLEMAN AS NEW DEACONS - Nov. 2011

Melrose BC has a long tradition of ordaining women as deacons and ministers. This year was a little unusual in the ordaining of so many women. The service was very meaningful and heartwarming.
