BIBLE CLASS MINISTRY

We have a full array of Bible classes that cover all ages that meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. There are men's, women's, and coed classes. We find Bible exploration and learning to be critical for effectice Christian living.

MUSIC AND WORSHIP MINISTRY

We have a number of choirs for children, youth, and adults. Our adult choir meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30 P.M. We also occasionally utilize handbells and other instruments to enhance our worship. Our services are blended with contemporary as well as traditional elements. Our children and youth present a Christmas play each year.

DISCIPLESHIP AND MISSIONS

We have occasional discipleship studies with topics of contemporary interest as well as classically spiritual interest. We also do many mission efforts near and far using adult and youth groups. Our youth group annually participates in Appalachian Outreach.

YOUTH AND CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Kids are welcome to join in! We have a ton of fun stuff going on here. We get to learn about the life of Jesus and the Bible while often digging into some games and arts and crafts.

OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED!

There are activities for various groups through the week and year. 

  • We offer a 5th Block program (from approximately 3:30-6:00) for recreation, fellowship, study rooms, and a free supper at 5:30.
  • We have a very strong WMU (Womens Missionary Union) at Melrose. "Circle" groups for women of all ages meet monthly. See weekly schedule for times.
  • Besides choir, we utilize rhythm instruments for worship. If you are interested in playing drums, electric bass, or guitar, e-mail music@melrosebaptist.org.
  • We have ministry teams that assist shut-ins, nursing homes, and assisted living members.
