Art for the Not Yet Work Day
As part of our participation in this year's Baptist General Association of Virginia's emphasis, "The Heart for the Not Yet," we are asking people to come and help us prepare our work of art on Friday, May 8 at 10 AM. Our created piece will be displayed here at Melrose before being sent to be displayed during the BGAV Annual Meeting in November in Virginia Beach. Together we will be taking all of the prayers from Pastor Mark's sermon series and turning them into paper stars. Those stars will be hung on a 6 foot long wooden dowel to create a 3D mobile to be displayed at the meeting.
All ages and ability levels are welcome to come and help us create our masterpiece! Any questions? Reach out to Blair (communications@melrosebaptist.org) with your questions, comments, or concerns!

Happening Soon: Prayer Breakfast
The Baptist Men Ministry welcome all to join them for a home cooked breakfast before Sunday school on Sunday, May 10. After the serving of breakfast, there will be a short devotion in recognition of Mother's Day. All are welcome to come and enjoy this time of fellowship together!

Next Sunday: Children's Sabbath
One of the traditions here at Melrose Baptist is that on Mother Day's the children lead us in worship that morning. This year's Children Sabbath will be on Sunday, May 10 and the children have prepared a special worship service titled, "Roots and Fruits." This service will recognize the roots of our faith and celebrate the fruits that God continues to use to help us in our faith journey. Worship begins at 10:45 AM and we encourage you to join us virtually on the MBC YouTube page if you cannot join us in-person.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Youth Yard Sale originally planned for Saturday, May 16 has been postponed to later in the summer. Please do not bring donations to the church until we announce the reschedule date!
