Children's Ministries

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
- Matthew 19:14

Our children’s ministry program strives to model Jesus’ ministry of love and understanding. We endeavor to mentor them in their faith journey, teach them the Word of God, and show them how to put their faith in action through service.

Sunday School

Noah's Ark Extended Session

We offer Sunday school classes for children from infancy through 5th grade. Classes are divided up by age/grade level and led by adult volunteers. Each Sunday children are taught from our chosen curriculum.
Sunday during morning worship

Children in pre-school and kindergarten are welcome to join others their age during worship time. During the service children are supervised by adult volunteers and participate in various activities.

Children in Action & Children's Choir

Sunday evenings starting at 5 PM

Children will begin the evening with Ms. Patty and Mr. Linley as they learn about various missionaries, their work around the world, and the importance of serving others. The children also brainstorm and organize various service projects. Later during the evening, the children will work with Pastor Connie to learn about different musical styles and instruments from around the world and work to prepare musical selections for selected Sunday morning worship services and Children's Sabbath. All children are welcome!

Bible Black Belts

Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM

Children in 1st-5th grade are welcome to come and join Ms. Kathy and Ms. Denise on Wednesday evenings to learn scripture in a fun and exciting way. Ms. Kathy has designed a program that immerses children in scripture through reading, interpretation, physical activity, and safe and open discussion. Children are rewarded for their effort in learning scripture through a colored belt reward system.

Your child's safety if one of our top priorities.

Melrose Baptist takes the security of children very seriously and works to ensure that we provide safe and open spaces for children and parents to feel comfortable in. All volunteers that work with minors are background checked and validated by Pastor Greg. Our building is furnished with an intensive security system that features automatic locking doors, security cameras that are monitored by our pastors and Safety Team volunteers, and a secure entry system.
