Peru Prayer Calendar- Day 2

Saturday, July 12
At around 6am, we will arrive in Lima and immediately catch another in-country hour-long flight northwest to Cajamarca in the Andes. We will then load vehicles to be driven about an hour to Villa Milagro (Miracle Village), a 14.5 acre farm with an agricultural and evangelistic ministry to the area. The farm has a bakery on site which we will distribute in give-away bags of food and cooking staple foods as we travel the 1.5 hours one way to each of the schools this week. Many women will walk 4 hours one way down the steep slopes to get the food supplies they cannot grow for themselves...and then carry the loads back up the steep slopes for four hours plus. We hope to stop and share God’s love and lighten their hearts and their day’s journey.
Once we settle in and have lunch, we will be visiting the local markets to buy rice, sugar, flour, corn, beans, and salt. Our Melrose WMU donated monies to help in the purchase of these survival foods in country. On behalf of the many, we are so grateful.
Verses for today:
"He awakens me morning by morning." - Isaiah 50:4
"For I was hungry, and you fed Me......." - Matthew 25:35 (v. 32-40)
Pray praising God for His guidance as we follow Him, and for His providing all that we need: His Presence. Ariana and I are very thankful for the sacrifices made and the sponsorship which has made this pathway we both felt called to walk become a reality.
