Business Meeting Highlights- January 21, 2026
- After withdrawing an amendment to the bylaws presented at the November meeting, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee presented a revised amendment.
- Currently: The Benevolence Committee will consist of three (3) members who will work with the ministerial staff to respond to requests for assistance.
- Proposed: The Benevolence Committee has been dissolved as all benevolence requests are now being managed by the ministerial staff. This committee’s position in the bylaws will be reserved. - The Policies and Procedures manual for the Baptist Men’s Director was approved,
- Samantha Willis’ resignation from the Children’s Committee was approved.
- Amanda Bailey was approved to complete Samantha Willis’ term on the Children’s Committee.
- The church approved the purchase of 100 Melrose Cookbooks. All money from the sale of the cookbooks will go to the Melrose Backpack Ministry.
