May Business Meeting Highlights
- Amendments to the bylaws to define immediate family regarding committee membership and Administrative Officers were approved.
- Policies and Procedures manuals were approved for the Property Committee, the Property Maintenance Director, and the Emergency Preparedness Team Director and Assistant Director.
- An addition to the Policies and Procedures manual for the Fellowship of Deacons was approved which describes the criteria and process for the selection of Melrose Honors recipients.
- Church leadership positions for 2026-27 were approved.
- It was approved to participate in the ministry of Family Promise for the week of October 11-17, 2026.
- A committee will be formed to administer the William R. Amos Jr. Scholarship established for Melrose Baptist students. Teresa Kennedy, Mr. Amos’ daughter, presented the proposed application, criteria and guidelines for the scholarship.
- The June business meeting will be held on June 24 rather than June 17.
