September Business Meeting Highlights

Here are the highlights from this month's Business Meeting..

• Policies and Procedures manual for the Church Council was accepted.
  
  
• A love offering for Tim Whitt, church custodian, will be collected on 9/22, 9/29, 10/6. Make checks payable to Melrose Baptist Church.
  
  
• An amendment to the bylaws (Article III, Section 4, B1) was presented.
  
  
• Tom Tickle resigned from the Kitchen Committee.
  
  
• Pat Tickle will fill a 1-year term on the Kitchen Committee.
  
  
• Lois McFarland will serve a 3-year term on the Kitchen Committee.
  
  
• Tom Tickle will serve as co-director of the Van/Bus Committee.
  
  
• Mary Gilley and Dallas Norris will serve as Melrose representatives to the “Mission Support Ministry” organization.
  
  
• The 2025 Spending Plan for the church was presented and will be open for discussion and a vote at the October Business Meeting.
  
  
• The BGAV annual meeting will be held Nov. 11-13 in Alexandria, VA. See Pastor Mark if you are interested in attending and serving as a messenger from Melrose.
  
  
• The RVBA Fall meeting will be held October 22 at Melrose. Let Pastor Mark know if you are interested in attending and serving as a Melrose messenger.
