Peru Mission Prayer Calendar- Day 5

Another small school to visit today. This will also be a tough day for those in the Women’s Conference as we will discuss spousal abuse.  Some of the homes of the women here have dirt floors.  Many women in third world countries are expected to birth the child and cook the evening meal in the same day.  Please pray for God’s wisdom on how to encourage these 40-50 women. Many have common law marriages due to the poverty and systemic misogyny that keeps women almost wholly dependent on the man in the home, surviving his temper to survive at all. 
 
Verse for today:  He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.  Psalm 147:3 
 
Please pray for God’s peace and protection to fall as a banner over these women.  Please pray that hearts will be moved toward faith to cope instead of substances to numb the pain, all kinds of pain.  Jesus heals. Jesus saves.  Jesus transforms…families.
